Pastoral leadership of congregations in the Body of Christ has been a central passion for me for over three decades.  I have served as Senior Pastor of two local congregations of the Reformed Church in America in Western Michigan, as well as the Preakness Reformed Church, in Wayne, NJ, for twelve years.  While in New Jersey, I also enjoyed a decade of teaching worship and mission history at New Brunswick Theological Seminary. 

I grew up in Wisconsin, and received degrees from Hope College, Western Theological Seminary, and the University of Notre Dame (Go, Irish!). 

I have adult children and a young granddaughter all living in Washington, D.C. 

I am an avid road-biker and kayaker (with a special love of the lower Connecticut River).  I find joy in good food and friendships.  Running, reading good novels, snowshoeing, gardening, and enjoying Irish football round out my joys.
